White 2021 Ford ExpeditionThe full-size 2021 Ford Expedition is rolling into dealerships to give drivers a top-notch new SUV. With an amazing amount of space, plenty of power, and exciting features to boot, the new Expedition is dressed to impress.

Five Available Trim Levels

The newest Expedition is available in five trim levels: the XL, XLT, Limited, King Ranch, and Platinum. In addition to these trim levels, you’ll also have the choice between the standard body style and the extended Expedition Max models. This year’s Expedition sits on 18-inch wheels, but 20-inch options are available. The large, truck-like front fascia has an aggressive chrome grille that stretches between the large LED headlights. The rest of its body is streamlined with subtle muscled curves that create an elegant yet tough personality.

Up to 400 Horsepower

The new Expedition’s entry-level engine is a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 that produces 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. If that’s not enough for you, move up to the Platinum for an upgraded version of the same engine that delivers 400 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. Both of these engines are matched with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Performance

Each model comes standard with a rear-wheel-drive system, but every trim level offers a four-wheel-drive system that takes the Expedition’s traction and off-road capability to the next level. If you plan on hauling with the new Expedition, it can tow up to 9,300 pounds when properly equipped. The Expedition’s independent rear suspension smooths out rougher roads and improves the way the SUV handles. There’s an available off-roading package for the 2021 Expedition that gives you a boost in confidence on dirt roads and backcountry camping trips through features such as the multiple terrain-tackling drive modes.

Stylish Interior

The Expedition seats up to eight passengers in its expansive three rows. If you want to give up some of those seats for extra cargo room, the XL trim level seats five people in two rows. With the standard body style, you’ll have 20.9 cubic feet of space in the rear cargo area when the seats are up, and with the rear rows folded down, you get 104.6 cubic feet of cargo space. With the Expedition Max, that space increases to 34.3 cubic feet with the seats up and 121.4 cubic feet with the rear two rows folded down.

Further upgrade your Expedition by opting for the available 12-speaker B&O sound system that gives new life to your favorite songs. Each Expedition also features a touch screen that performs thousands of functions through programs such as Ford+Alexa and hand-free smartphone integration apps.

 Reliable Safety Features

Equip your 2021 Ford Expedition with the available Ford Co-Pilot360 suite of driver-assist technologies to stay more aware of what’s happening on the road around you. These technologies use outboard sensors to keep you updated on what the vehicles around you are up to. The suite includes an automatic emergency braking system, pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, automatic high beams, a blind-spot monitoring system, and more. If a collision proves unavoidable, the Expedition’s truck-based frame and advanced air bag system help keep you and your passengers out of harm’s way.
