Gatlinburg Market VillageLooking to enjoy something different? Adventure and entertainment await you just a short road trip from Lenoir City, Tennessee. Check out a few of these interesting small towns.

1. Paris

You could hop on a lengthy, expensive flight to see the Eiffel Tower, or you could take a four-hour drive to nearby Paris, Tennessee. The 60-foot Eiffel Tower there might not be as large, or as impressive, as the real one, but it still makes for fun and unique photographs. The tower is in Memorial Park, which is also a good place to go for outdoor recreation.

Make sure you leave enough time to visit the Paris Winery before heading back home. The winery offers daily wine tasting. Paris is also home to many quaint antique shops and delicious restaurants, so you can make a whole day of the trip. If you visit in late April, you can plan to join in on the World’s Biggest Fish Fry. The city brings in over 5 tons of catfish to serve to residents and visitors over the nine-day annual event, which features a host of activities.

2. Collierville

If you’re okay with driving a bit farther, Collierville is a little over five hours from Lenoir City. Take a stroll down Collierville’s historic town square to check out the fun shops and indulge in the small-town feel. Main Street has its fair share of historic buildings where you can learn more about the local history. Be sure to check out the Museum of Biblical History or the Morton Museum of Collierville History. The Funquest Skate and Bowl center is a fun place to relive your childhood.

3. Gatlinburg

Gatlinburg has earned a reputation as a top tourist destination for a reason. With an abundance of restaurants, recreation, and entertainment, it truly offers something for everyone. Check out the Gatlinburg Space Needle to get a 360-degree view of the Great Smoky Mountains, or take the family to Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, where you can view sharks and sea turtles. The Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster is also a family favorite. It enables you to explore the nearby woods and mountains by roller coaster.

Gatlinburg is just a little over an hour’s drive from Lenoir, so you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy all the fun it offers.

4. Cleveland

Cleveland is another charming town to visit in Tennessee that involves a short road trip. The drive takes just a little over an hour and offers interesting history and tasty coffee. Red Clay State Historic Park lets you explore the 19th-century history of the Cherokees. The Cleveland Bradley County Greenway extends right through the middle of the city, making it the perfect place to hike, bike, or take a relaxing stroll.

The Cleveland Bradley County Public Library is a fun place to check out on a chilly or rainy day. You can grab a coffee from the on-site coffee shop before heading back home.
