2020 Edge Exterior

Four trims make up the 2020 Edge lineup. The trims are the SE, SEL, Titanium, and the ST. Among the trims, each has its benefits. The base SE offers ample features and is competitively priced. The SEL is a step up and equipped with additional amenities plus additional packages with optional equipment. The Titanium is considered the luxury model, and the ST ranks high in performance.

Engine Power

The 2020 Edge is equipped with plenty of power. The front-wheel drive SE, SEL, and Titanium comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine accompanied by an 8-speed automatic transmission. The engine supplies 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. The three trims are also available with optional all-wheel drive.

The high-performance all-wheel drive ST amps the power up several notches with its 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 also paired to an 8-speed transmission. The engine produces an impressive 335 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque.

Interior

The individual trim interiors are diverse, with each trim fitted with a variety of features. The SE comes with ample infotainment such as the SYNC 3 system with 8-inch touch screen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, Wi-Fi hotspot, and dual USB ports. Passengers enjoy the comfort of reclining back seats, everyone can be entertained with a 6-speaker sound system, and the driver has access to a rearview camera. Safety features include forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, automatic braking, and lane keeping assist.

The interior of the SEL is plush with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and simulated leather upholstery. Passengers have the convenience of a power-adjustable front seat. Optional features are generous with selections that include evasive steering assist, adaptive cruise control, and navigation for drivers. Optional convenience features include a hands-free liftgate and heated seats, and entertainment has access to an upgraded sound system.

The Titanium is equipped with the majority of features available on the SEL. It also gets a touch of luxury with front sport seats, leather upholstery, and ambient lighting throughout the cabin. Noise-reducing front windows promote a quiet driving experience.

The ST offers sport-tuned suspension, a sport-themed interior, and seating featuring leather and suede-like seating.

Safety Features

The Edge trims have plenty of safety features to cover passengers, the driver, and the SUV. For passengers, the SUV includes dual front-side mounted air bags, rear height adjustable headrests, rear center 3-point belt, 2 front headrests, child seat anchors, rear door child safety locks, and passenger air bag occupant sensing deactivation.

The SUV is fitted with stability control, engine immobilizer, 4-anti-lock braking system, traction control, blind spot and lane departure warning systems. Drivers have access to LED headlamp, dusk sensing headlamps, tire pressure monitoring, daytime running lights, and turn signal mirrors.

The 2020 Ford Edge is the complete package – good looks, easy handling, plentiful power, and a list of comfort, convenience, and safety features and amenities. All these benefits easily justifies buying the SUV as a good investment.
