Four trims make up the 2020 Edge lineup. The trims are the SE, SEL, Titanium, and the ST. Among the trims, each has its benefits. The base SE offers ample features and is competitively priced. The SEL is a step up and equipped with additional amenities plus additional packages with optional equipment. The Titanium is considered the luxury model, and the ST ranks high in performance.

Engine Power

The 2020 Edge is equipped with plenty of power. The front-wheel drive SE, SEL, and Titanium comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine accompanied by an 8-speed automatic transmission. The engine supplies 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. The three trims are also available with optional all-wheel drive. Passengers enjoy the comfort of reclining back seats, everyone can be entertained with a 6-speaker sound system, and the driver has access to a rearview camera. Safety features include forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, automatic braking, and lane keeping assist. The interior of the SEL is plush with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and simulated leather upholstery. Passengers have the convenience of a power-adjustable front seat. Optional features are generous with selections that include evasive steering assist, adaptive cruise control, and navigation for drivers. Optional convenience features include a hands-free liftgate and heated seats, and entertainment has access to an upgraded sound system. The Titanium is equipped with the majority of features available on the SEL. It also gets a touch of luxury with front sport seats, leather upholstery, and ambient lighting throughout the cabin. Noise-reducing front windows promote a quiet driving experience. The ST offers sport-tuned suspension, a sport-themed interior, and seating featuring leather and suede-like seating.

Safety Features

The Edge trims have plenty of safety features to cover passengers, the driver, and the SUV. For passengers, the SUV includes dual front-side mounted air bags, rear height adjustable headrests, rear center 3-point belt, 2 front headrests, child seat anchors, rear door child safety locks, and passenger air bag occupant sensing deactivation. The SUV is fitted with stability control, engine immobilizer, 4-anti-lock braking system, traction control, blind spot and lane departure warning systems. 3 Key Features of the 2021 Ford Explorer

If you want a rugged SUV that performs athletically and is feature-packed, consider the 2021 Ford Explorer. The Ford Explorer has been a powerhouse vehicle in terms of popularity for years, and that reputation isn't going away in 2021. We adore this SUV for its third-row seating, its new standard features, and its convenience functions. Let's talk about the key features to see if you'll fall in love with the Ford Explorer, too. 1. Luxurious Seating If you're not comfortable in your vehicle then you're not going to have a good time, no matter how well it performs on the road. Luckily, there are several features in the Ford Explorer that create comfort for anyone who sits in it. One of these features is the available leather upholstery, which creates a comfortable feel and stylish look. Another feature is the heating in the first and second-row seats; most SUVs only have heating in the front row. The third-row seats aren't let out, either, as they have a power-folding feature. This isn't a comfort feature for third-row passengers; it's a convenience-based feature for the driver. Instead of having to struggle with folding down the rear seats when you need to, you simply push a button and they fold away by themselves. This is just one of many features made for the driver's benefit - another is the front row massage function made to reduce fatigue. more 2. Parking Assistance and Other Convenience Many drivers despise parallel parking, and sometimes backing into a parking space isn't fun either. With the Ford Explorer, you'll have a stress-free experience no matter how you choose to park. There's an active parking assist feature; you press a button and your vehicle senses the best position to stop in. It'll help you figure out which way to steer, then it tells you when to park. Eliminating the stress of parking is a sure way to make yourself happy. You should be aware that the parking assist feature is an upgrade - it's not a base model feature. Although, there are several features available in the standard Ford Explorer that don't exist in standard competitor models. These include other convenience features like LED taillights and a power liftgate. 3. Incredible Safety Features If you like the sound of those two standard features listed above, you'll love the standard safety features in the Ford Explorer. Unlike many competitors, Ford doesn't make you pay for your own safety and peace of mind. Post-collision braking is standard, as are several alert functions that help you drive more efficiently. On top of the standard safety, there are a few available via upgrade-only. The upgraded safety features include adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and reverse brake assistance.
