2022 Ford SuperDuty
When you need to get some serious work done, only the Ford Super Duty will do. If you're looking for a middle ground in towing and payload strength, the 2022 Ford Super Duty will get the job done and make you look good doing it.
Trim Levels
The 2022 Ford Super Duty truck is offered in a spread of options that lets you choose your list of features. Opt for the decently equipped XL, or make your truck more luxurious by moving through the XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. Choose between 11 factory paint colors for a truck that suits your style. The Super Duty’s exterior has a decent number of accessory upgrades available to it, such as the drop-down tailgate step, the BoxLink cargo management system, in-bed LED lighting system, and PowerScope trailer tow mirrors.
Engine
This year's Super Duty comes standard with a 6.2-liter flex-fuel gasoline V-8 that produces 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. If you want a stronger gasoline option, upgrade to the 7.3-liter V-8 engine that delivers 430 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. Your diesel option this year is a 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbocharged V-8 engine that churns out 475 horsepower and 1,050 pound-feet of torque.
The 6.2-liter V-8 is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. The other two come standard with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
Properly equipped, the 2022 Ford Super Duty can handle up to 21,200 in conventional towing and 35,750 with a gooseneck hitch. If you need to load your supplies and gear in the bed, the Super Duty can take up to 14,000 pounds. If you want to prepare your Super Duty for the toughest roads, paved or otherwise, equip it with the available Tremor package to outfit it with more off-road-ready gear. This package gives your truck 35-inch traction-boosting tires, suspension systems tuned for off-road travel for both the front and rear, more terrain-specific drive modes, and more.
Interior
The Super Duty comes in three body styles: the regular, SuperCab, and the SuperCrew. The first seats three passengers and the last two fit six, with the SuperCrew offering the most space. If you want a boost of cargo space, the SuperCrew's rear row's seats fold up to give you access to an available lockable under-seat storage compartment. An optional carpet-delete vinyl flooring option helps you keep your cabin cleaner if your travels often bring in dirt and detritus. If you're looking for luxurious and comfort-boosting features, you'll find a greater selection of them the higher the trim level you choose.
Safety Features
In addition to all these exciting features and feats of strength, the 2022 Ford Super Duty also gives you plenty of driver-assist technologies to keep you more secure on the road. These include an automatic emergency braking system that applies the truck's brakes if the driver hasn't reacted to an imminent collision in time. The Pro Trailer Backup Assist system is a game-changer when you're trying to reverse your trailer into tight spots. These smart technologies, housed in the Super Duty’s high-strength steel frame, keep you safer in your truck than ever.
