2020 Ford Escape

There are five trim options for the new Escape, starting with the S trim. This base model features exterior perks, like daytime running lights, dual exhaust with chrome tips, and a rear spoiler. Upgrade to the SE for privacy glass on the rear windows, heated side mirrors, chrome exterior accents, and LED lighting. For a sporty look and extra efficiency, choose the SE Sport Hybrid trim featuring 17-inch black aluminum wheels. Opt for the SEL trim level to get a roof rack with side rails, a hands-free liftgate, fog lights, and 18-inch aluminum wheels. If you want all the perks Ford has to offer inside and out, go with the Titanium trim. This top option comes standard with rain-sensing wipers, 19-inch wheels, and LED fog lights.

You'll have four different engines to choose from with the 2020 Ford Escape, starting with a 1.5-liter inline three-cylinder EcoBoost engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Upper trims come with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which also uses EcoBoost technology. Both a hybrid and plug-in hybrid engine are available. These engines pair a 2.5-liter Atkinson Cycle inline four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and an electronically controlled variable transmission to provide power and efficiency.

With a new rotary dial on the center console, you can easily switch between five different drive modes. Choose Sport mode for a little extra kick or Eco mode for a more energy-efficient ride. Slipper mode or Deep Snow/Sand mode are great if you find yourself in poor driving conditions. The 2020 Escape is also equipped with an AdvanceTrac system with roll stability control to provide ideal traction and balance as you drive.

Inside the 2020 Escape you'll find a convenient and comfortable cabin. Ford's SYNC 3 infotainment system offers hands-free connectivity, smartphone integration, and navigation. With Bluetooth technology and available Ford+Alexa, you can access your music, apps, and almost any information you need without ever taking your hands off of the wheel. An available 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster lets you decide what driving information you want to see and how it looks. Seat up to five people comfortably with a second row that slides back for additional legroom or forward for added cargo space. Several interior upgrades like heated seating, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, and leather upholstery are also available.

Every 2020 Escape comes standard with Ford's Co-Pilot360 safety suite, which includes post-crash SOS alerts, automatic high beams, lane keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, and forward collision warnings with active braking. In the event of an accident, the Safety Canopy System provides protection with multistage air bags placed throughout the vehicle.
